Associate Data Scientist

You’ll collaborate with a team of expert data scientists and cross-functional marketing leaders to elevate our products and develop groundbreaking tools. This Associate Data Scientist role offers exposure to a diverse tech stack (MarTech, AdTech, FinTech, etc.) and the opportunity to contribute to our omnichannel marketing success. - Data Analysis & Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards, documentation, and reporting (including campaign testing results), driving towards automation and data integrity. Scale reporting and analyses for marketing initiatives across 9 brands. Leverage data mining techniques to uncover key business insights. Provide ad-hoc and recurring support for custom data requests from multiple cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Data Management & Quality: Take ownership of datasets, managing data integrity, preparation, cleansing, and formatting. Own and uphold the highest level of QA/QC for all data, reporting, analysis, and modeling. Establish and maintain data quality assurance and management protocols/processes. Become an expert in WSI data.
- Data Infrastructure: Participate in the ETL process by contributing to data pipeline architecture (e.g., via connectors), owned data sets, and optimizing the dataflow.
- Statistical Modeling & Research: Build supervised statistical models using various techniques and algorithms. Support and update released models by monitoring and improving their performance. Support research projects and their analyses as needed.
Criteria
- BA/BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Biostatistics, Economics, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or a related quantitative field.
- 0 - 2+ years of experience in an analytical role or equivalent academic coursework in data modeling, analytics, market research, or other data-centric field.
- Proficiency in SQL (1+ years) and Excel.
- Experienced programming and scripting with Python.
- Knowledge and understanding of BI visualization tools (e.g., Domo, Tableau, PowerBI, Looker).
- Exposure with machine learning, marketing mix modeling (Bayesian), Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithms, Deep Learning Neural Networks, Long Short Term Memory (LSTM), Prophet/NeuralProphet, Regression, A/B testing, and other related methodologies a huge plus.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office Monday through Thursday and Friday as optional in the office.
Salary and compensation
$80,000 - $90,000 per yearBenefits
