Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Yum!, you will partner with KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Habit Burger to identify opportunities to leverage company data for business outcomes. You will play a key role in the advanced analytics team, developing data-driven solutions, and driving Yum Growth.

Your responsibilities include designing and developing scalable streaming data integration frameworks to move and transform various data sets. You will work with the Yum! data platform, building applications using open-source frameworks (such as Py-Spark, Kubernetes, Airflow) and SaaS tools (such as Informatica Cloud, Snowflake, Domo).

The role also includes implementing and managing production support processes for data lifecycle, data quality, coding utilities, storage, reporting, and other data integration points. You will have the opportunity to work with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP) and services such as storage, virtual machines, serverless technologies, and parallel processing technologies.

In this position, you will utilize streaming/event processing (Kafka, Spark Streaming, Pulsar), and be proficient in Python and its supporting libraries for data processing. Experience with building serverless APIs (AWS preferred) is also required. A working knowledge of agile development and DevOps concepts (IAC, CI/CD) is beneficial.
